1. Approximately 1.9 million children, ages 3-17 years, have diagnosed depression.
2. Approximately 4.4 million children, ages 3-17 years, have diagnosed anxiety.
3. Approximately 4.5 million children, ages 3-17 years, have a diagnosed behavior problem.
4. In 2017, 5,821 suicides were recorded in Great Britain.Of these, 75% were male and 25% were female.The National Institute for Mental Health reports that:
5. Suicide is a leading cause of death in the United States! Suicide was the tenth leading cause of death overall in the United States, claiming the lives of over 47,000 people.
6. Suicide was the second leading cause of death among the ages of 10 and 34, and the fourth leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 35 and 54.Clearly trauma is claiming escalating numbers of victims and the previous statistics do not reflect victims of PTSD, sexual, emotional or physical abuse.
